The Clergy Health Council was a collaboration of many volunteers led by Rachel Lewis and Richard Brown. Rachel passed away in Feb. 2017 of advanced ovarian cancer. Her life's work after retirement was to teach the benefits of a plant based diet to primarily the African American community of which she was such a big part.

The Clergy Health Council was an outreach education project with the goal to bring the most up to date and honest health information to the public through our local community. The United States of America and especially Cincinnati is in a health crisis that is unequalled in the history of the world. Cincinnati has an 89% higher diabetes rate than the national average, in fact all the top ten causes of death are higher in Cincinnati. Why is this? Plain and simple most people here eat a more health damaging diet than the average American.

Here is a partial list of the diseases directly or indirectly caused by the meat, dairy, processed food and sugar based American diet:

We are a committed group of dedicated individuals who's only motivation is to educate the public so they can make smart choices when it comes to taking control of their own health. We will separate the spin from the facts. We provide the most important information that you need to know to take control of your own health. You will meet some amazing people in our group who have been following the same advice we are giving for decades and are now enjoying incredible health and athletic performance even into their late 80's and 90's.
A simple diet change has the potential to save many lives in our community, maybe even your own. The film "EATING" is a good introductory film and the foundation of our health advice. Beginning in January 2011 we arranged for this movie to be shown in Cincinnati churches and then offered the viewers two classes that taught them how to make the changes the film suggests. We truly can empower everyone who takes our program to know that their health is 100% in their own hands. We have completed 25 trainings since launching this mission including New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Keys of the Kingdom UMC, St Simon of Cyrene, St Stephens, Christ Image Church, Shiloh 7th Day Adventist Church, Cincinnati Bible Way Church, Greater Liberty Baptist Church and New Thought Unity Center with great success and tremendous results. Why is this information not available from mainstream sources in medicine, public health,  government or media? The answer is a disturbing one that can only be summed up in one word, MONEY. Experts estimate there is over a TRILLION dollars at stake to keep America eating the diet that causes diseases, obesity and premature death. A chemically laden diet based on animal derived foods, sugar, processed and refined foods is the cause. Eating only whole plant based foods is the easy answer. The importance of the work we do cannot be overstated. We are truly saving lives. Our group is made up of all volunteers  who have been living according the advice given in the "EATING" film so we are more than just advocates of the film, we are living examples that it works. We will not only inform you how to get your health back, we will show you how to implement our advice into your every day life. You can make a choice today to guarantee your future health. "most people listen to and follow the advice of degreed and liscensed nutritionists and dieticians who tell them what they should eat in order to be properly nourished. These nutritionists and dieticians control the foods served in our schools, hospitals, prisons, nursing homes and to our military.

Then we have degreed and liscensed doctors who tell us what we need to do to rid ourselves of all the physical problems we are experiencing as a result of following the dictates of the degreed and liscensed nutritionists and dieticians.

Next we have degreed and liscensed pharmacists who prepare the drugs these degreed and liscensed doctors prescribe in order to cover up the symptoms being experienced as a result of following the dictates of the degreed and liscensed nutritionists and dieticians.

Finally we have laws that protect these degreed and liscensed people when fellow citizens do not get well and die after following their dictates.

And what is the cost of all this ? We are currently spending over $2.7 trillion annually on what is called “health care” while the cost of health care is forecast to double in coming years.

Here is an email we received from a person 8 weeks after she attended our program:

Hi, thanks so much for the invitation, and keeping me informed. I have changed to a vegan diet and feel wonderful. I've had so many people tell me how young I look, (those that know how old I really am). My 37 year old son keeps staring at me, and says his friends would never believe how old I am. Because of the weight loss both my husband and son were a little concerned. I have more energy, skin is clear, and I've notice I don't sneeze! I went to doctor to have blood work done, blood pressure checked, and everything came back normal. My doctor was a little concerned because I've lost 20 lbs. After my results came back fine, and I told her I'm a vegan now, she was really happy for me, and told me to keep up the good work! I am truly enjoying my new lifestyle!! Thank you.
