ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE
(On a Plant Based Diet)
(This page last updated 8-25-17)

You needn't look any further than the story of local Glendale resident Mike Fremont to convince yourself that a plant based diet is superior for athletic performance. He changed his diet to cure colorectal cancer in 1990 and stuck with it to this day. He was originally following a Macrobiotic diet till 2010 when he gave up the once a week fish that Macrobiotic allows. That's when he started setting world records begining at age 88 in the Flying Pig Marathon here in Cincinnati. This May (2016) at the age of 94 he will attempt his 5th world record in the half marathon.
See a long 73 min interview with Mike shot in Feb, 2016 below.

Google Scott Jurek - Vegan Ultra Marathon runner with an impressive record of wins on a plant based diet.

New England Patriots Quaterback Tom Brady has not only adopted a vegan diet to gain speed and flexibility, he has started a business to help other atheletes follow his lead. Tom's advice is 80% Alkaline foods, 20% acidic foods. A plant based diet is the easiest way to accomplish that. Learn more here.
